JAMES ENGLISH: 1877
lodge E1. 2X32 Bezique packs. Turned courts. James English only made playing cards from 1865 to 1890 when the company became "Peerless Playing Card Company" Consequently cards by James English are not common. There is some foxing and the cards have been used but there are no bends or tears. I doubt the cards came in the leather covered box shown originally but it is contemporary as are the two markers.
