Pepys Game. Film Fantasy. 1939
Pepys game "Film Fantasy" 1939. This deck was made by Pepys - despite them not being mentioned on the box or rules - to celebrate the most successful Hollywood films of the 1930's. These decks usually comprise 45 cards. 11 films by 4 and one joker. However, rather strangely, this one contains 7 films by four cards, one by six cards, one by five cards, two by three cards and two jokers? "The lambeth Walk" and "Idiots Delight" are the two films with only three cards, "Its a wonderful life" has five cards and "The Hardy's ride high" has six cards, plus the two jokers makes a total of 46 cards. They come with their original rules and box, which has had the card on the back torn off and one end flap is missing.
