Aboriginal art. Rathdown Club Series 1960's
The following seven double sets of card were all made by Hudsons as part of their "Rathdown Club" series first produced in the late 1940's . I believe this deck to be slightly later, probably the early 1960's, as the earlier boxes were cardboard and not this hard clear plastic. Also the address on the base of these hard plastic boxes, as can been seen in the next set, reads "Carlton Victoria" whereas the earlier sets read "Melbourne Victoria" .52 + 2 each deck and in very nice condition. Slight problem with this set is, while the cards are certainly by Hudson, as is the top of the box, the bottom of the box, , is by Reed Paper products, identified by the little 1/4 symbol. Obviously been mixed up somewhere along the line.
